Team Vigilance Welcomes OSI to the VIGILANCE Preferred Suppliers Program

Vard Marine Inc. (VARD), a Fincantieri company, is excited to share that OSI has been selected as a preferred supplier for Team Vigilance. This strategic partnership with preferred suppliers will enable Team Vigilance to deliver a naval solution crafted to meet the Royal Canadian Navy's (RCN) future fleet needs.
VIGILANCE will not only fulfill all the roles of the existing MCDV, but it will also enhance naval warfare capabilities beyond the current scope of both the MCDV and the Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels. By combining advanced capabilities with cost efficiency, VIGILANCE also preserves the life-cycle cost advantages for which VARD’s naval designs are known.
Team Vigilance mission is to provide a world-class naval solution that is designed in Canada, built in Canada, and equipped in Canada, utilizing leading Canadian industrial partners. In conjunction with partners from Thales Canada, Ontario Shipyards, SH Defence, and Fincantieri, Team Vigilance aims to supply the RCN with a versatile military asset that is capable, globally deployable, and ready to tackle future naval challenges.
OSI Joins Team Vigilance as a Preferred Supplier
OSI Maritime Systems, has been providing advanced integrated navigation and tactical solutions to military customers for over 30 years. As the pioneer of Warship Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (WECDIS), OSI has grown to be a leading provider of integrated navigation and tactical solutions designed for naval and maritime security operations. The company develops and delivers integrated bridge systems for warships, integrated dived navigation systems for submarines, and C2 systems for small craft. OSI currently has 26 naval customers from around the world with more than 700 warships and submarines operating with its world-leading integrated navigation and tactical solutions

OSI has been the chosen supplier of electronic navigation systems to the Royal Canadian Navy since 1995. Initially the supplier of the RCN’s Shipboard Integrated Navigation and Display System (SHINNADS) to the Canadian surface and submarine Fleets, OSI is now the supplier of the Integrated Navigation and Bridge Systems across the new build platforms under the National Shipbuilding Strategy. The RCN has been using OSI’s ECPINS based products for over 30 years and OSI is embedded within the RCN’s navigation DNA.
OSI’s scalable Integrated Navigation and Bridge Systems are 100% designed and manufactured in Canada by Canadians. Not only will OSI supply Team Vigilance with Canadian engineering excellence but these systems will be synonymous with other RCN platforms enabling tight interoperability and flexibility between warships and their crews. OSI is the poster child of the Government of Canada’s ITB Policy under the NSS and will continue to drive maximum value proposition into Team Vigilance.
